Summary

Live on a beautiful college campus this summer and help make a difference in the lives of gifted high school students from around the world. Our national pre-college summer program company is seeking talented and caring individuals to join our summer staff in 2017 as Program Directors. Each summer, Program Directors provide high school students the summer camp experience of a lifetime. Program Directors are responsible for all day-to-day on-site program management. From student oversight and comprehensive staff scheduling, to fluid communication with Blueprint Headquarters and Customers- Program Director responsibilities are numerous and varied. Our Program Director positions are very demanding; however, the rewards are worth the hard work! Job Purpose:

Lead, direct, and administer all aspects of Blueprint’s Summer Program, carrying out a compassionate and goal-oriented approach at designated location (see specific program locations below).

Essential Duties:

Demonstrate personal, innovative and skillful programmatic leadership:

  • This position manages all Blueprint Employees of the program site and is responsible for overseeing the quality execution of a program that provides opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives
  • Implement all program scheduling
  • Evaluate and monitor program needs, identify unmet needs and revise services as program needs change
  • Coordinate and conduct on-site staff orientation and training for all staff.
  • Oversee the quality execution of all academic, non-academic, and off-campus activities, including student special events and road trips

Provide strategic and influential direction to staff and students:

  • Facilitate a collaborative, positive, and professional environment. Leading by example to ensure impeccable working relationships with and among staff members, students, parents, and campus administration
  • Inspire and encourage the program staff to support the guiding concept of Blueprint Summer Programs: to provide an experience for students that is friendly, comfortable, and personal
  • Supervise all program staff, delivering necessary support and guidance to Assistant Directors, Residential Advisors and Program Instructors
  • Oversee student activities and monitor student behavior/interaction. Respond promptly to detected concerns and initiate redirection and/or corrective action processes, as needed

Deliver conscientious and detail-oriented program administration:

  • Serve as the main, on-campus liaison between the company and the campus administration.
  • Organize and manage all on-site office and program administration. Functions may include (but are not limited to) student roommate requests, supply purchasing, meal planning and special event organization
  • Implement all company accounting procedures, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures and safety guidelines
  • Maintain all program records including (but not limited to): incident reports, attendance records, meeting minutes, call logs and all additional general administrative reports

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of summer program administration experience or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a driving record in good standing
  • Must be able to travel to and from designated Blueprint Summer Program location
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must; graduate degree or current graduate program enrollment is a plus.

  • Current CPR/ First Aid certification is a plus

  • Lehigh University, Bethlehem PA
    • Session 1: Training Dates: July 2nd - July 8th, Program Dates: July 9th - July 23rd
    • Session 2: Training Dates: July 16th - July 22, Program Dates: July 23rd - August 6th
