Blueprint Signature Summer Programs (Pre-College Summer Program)

Salary and Benefits: $500/Stipend for CS, then increased salary to $600/week for Instructor during program season.

Assignment/Program Length Dates: April 1st, 2017 - End of Program (See specific program dates below)

 

Job Purpose:

  1. Develop all materials, curriculum and lesson plans for designated Blueprint course (see course list below)
  2. Provide virtual coaching and support to course instructors
  3. Instruct a fun, distinctive and intensive educational course in a dynamic college setting at designated Blueprint location

Essential Duties:

Curriculum Development

  • Over the course of 6 weeks, collaborate with Blueprint’s Academic Department to create rigorous and engaging curriculum for a designated Blueprint course
  • Formulate and recommend projects, goals and objectives for on-site education programs
  • Provide remote support, guidance and leadership to Course Instructors as it relates to course material.
  • Inspire and encourage Course Instructors to support the guiding concept of Blueprint Summer Programs: to provide an experience for high school students that is friendly, comfortable, personal, and helps to prepare them for college

Program Instruction

  • Instruct a course at designated Blueprint location
  • Plan and execute all day-to-day class functions while providing engaging and rigorous lessons
  • Create and maintain course materials that support a fun environment and provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential
  • Monitor student progress and provide appropriate support, knowledge and encouragement to reach future goals
  • Organize and execute new procedures where necessary
  • Create and maintain course materials that supportive a fun environment and provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential
  • Maintain a positive, professional on-campus presence at all times
  • Assist in supervising assigned on-campus and off-campus activities, including student special events and road trips.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must be able to travel to and from designated Blueprint Summer Program location
  • Minimum two years of administrative or instructional coaching experience
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience
  • Demonstrated success in curriculum development

  • Involvement in student organizations, career advising and/or academic administration
  • Summer/ enrichment program or adjunct teaching experience
  • Ability to deliver high quality results, including exceptional follow-up and follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task, meet scheduled due dates and remain organized in unstructured, high-intensity environments
